    Mid-engined Corvair

    Post  msm98lw on Sun Jan 06, 2013 10:02 pm

Back in the 70's someone ran a corvair with a sbc in the back seat. Does anyone remember it? Iirc it could run with the corvettes. I got to watch because I was running open wheel (FF). I was wondering how the v8 swap was done and whatever happened to it.

    Thanks

Although that particular car was before my time with EMRA, a popular V8 swap kit for Corvairs was made by Crown.

There was a mid-engine V8 2nd gen Corvair at Lime Rock this past season. I took photos for the driver so I have contact info for him. I'd be happy to pass your info along if you send it to me----fastforwardphoto(AT)yahoo(DOT)com-----Dave Zipkin
