    st car classing

    Post  WebsterMR2 on Thu Feb 14, 2013 1:33 pm

Need some Classing help - just bought a Scion TC 2.4 NA multivalve 4 cyl FWD 2800 lbs
std setup springs, shocks, swaybars, R888's on 8 inch rims.

is this ST4? car does not show on list - and ST4 shows 1500-2000cc 4valve - ST3 show turbo multivalve? looks like ST4 to me, any thoughts

In my entirely non-official opinion your car looks good for ST4. But you need to be careful with wheels - ST4 max is 7" wide, 8" puts you in ST3. You also have to take exceptions for wheel diameters larger than OEM.

You should email compboard@emraracing.org to verify.

You deserve at least a one class bump just for being who you are.

Which reminds me, time to call Phil and lay in this season's supply of freshness...

Great. 2 bumps for you and Scott based on experience and you guys should do well in ST2. Are you racing again or TTing.

    st classing

Ok forgot to check the forum for a few weeks.

MR2 is still around but I am tired of getting bumped down a class every few years. Plus some thing s come along ad are just worth trying. Found the Scion Cheap and thought I would try a FWD car instead. ST4 will probably be it - stuck with the stock 17 x 7 wheels since I forgot about rim width rules.

BTW if somebody wants a yellow MR2 (slightly used and never Rallyed) I may part with her and the spares for a package deal. Wink
