Between a new Condo that needs 100% refurbishment and a new 2 year contract that will keep me on the road at least 50% of the time I'm afraid that the time has come to sell the #14 car. Car is located in Connecticut. '88 fiero, Formula chassis with GT panels, 3.4l DOHC V6, Achieva close ratio gear box. Custom coil over suspension all 4 corners, tubular A frames, tubular rear links. Few bushings - all hyme joints. Motor is stock, under 13,000 miles (crate motor from GM, I got it at 12,000 miles). Custom intake, Camaro 350 throttle body, power pulleys, custom equal length, fully tuned headers (car is renouned for being painfully loud). Cams are independently timed - timing tools included. Original build by Dave Deerson of Deerson Racing New Jersey (David now campaigns a Huffaker Fiero).
Full cage, Corbeau racing seat, car is fully legal for sprint / enduro racing. 6 American Racing wheels, spare 3.4 (ready for rebuild), spare gear box, spare hubs / bearings (front and rear), brand new competition clutch, brand new aluminum flywheel. Have at least 8 Hoosiers available - at least 4 nearly brand new. Car is extremely light weight - close to 2000 lbs without driver. This sucker screams, likes to play with Corvettes and Porsche's.
Needs? Last time out I went into a ditch at Summit backwards. Straigtened it all out, went back out, took 2nd on my 2nd lap, then blew 2 flywheel bolts. All replaced, welded additional supports onto the rear trailing links, all is well, motor is back in, but not all hooked up yet. Frame is true, but bumper mounts need to be pulled over 1/2", needs new starter.
Also available is a 1995 Econotrailer, just rewired, new LED lamps, brand new brakesand hubs, used parts included to put brakes on second axle. I'll throw in the tow car brake controller if the price is right.
Make me an offer! I'm not leaving - I WILL be back, but with something that doesn't demand so much of my time (I don't have it to give!). Hell, Maybe I'll even rent Charlies Thunder Chicken.....
