Who is eligible for a championship?

Any driver who holds an EMRA Race or Time Trial license,
is a member of one of the EMRA Associated clubs,
and completes at least 50% of the scheduled events will be eligible for the championship.

THAT MEANS THAT EVEN IF YOU ONLY ATTENDED 2 EVENTS SO FAR THIS YEAR - YOU CAN STILL
BE CLASS CHAMPION IF YOU ATTEND THE LAST 4 EVENTS ! (THE MINIMUM IS 6)

Do the 6 required events need to be in the class that the driver wants the championship in? For example, suppose someone runs 5 events in ST-1 and 5 events in ST-2, winning one of those classes by points, are they eligible for the championship?

Also, one event is dropped from total points from what I've been told.

Event counts refer to "in-class" results. Not overall season results. Thus in your example; 5 events per class would NOT satisfy this years championship qualification of either (6 events required).

As for "dropping" your worst event.. Its more in line with EMRA counting one(1) less than the total events. For this season, with eleven(11) TT's on the schedule; EMRA will count up to ten(10) results for championship. If an entrant enters and scores in ALL eleven(11); that person's tally will then be based on their best 10; plus a point bonus of 3. This is the ONLY scenerio at which a result will be "dropped" for points consideration. Scoring in ten(10) or less events; will not allow a drop or bonus.
