2013 EMRA SCHEDULE

WITH ALL THE BAD NEWS FROM SANDY FLOATING AROUND
I THOUGHT WE COULD ALL USE SOME GOOD NEWS:
THE EMRA 2013 SCHEDULE IS READY!

WE HAVE SECURED TWO DATES AT THE NEW NY SAFETY TRACK &
WE ALSO HAVE SECURED TWO DATES AT POCONO AT THE NEWLY
CONFIGURED AND PAVED TRACKS.

WE HAVE TWEAKED THE SCHEDULES AS PER OUR MEMBERS INPUT:
SAME # OF TIME TRIAL EVENTS AS 2012(11) AND IF PEOPLE WANT EXTRA TT TRACK
TIME THEY CAN GET IT BEFORE THE TT EVENT.
RACERS GET SIX 2 DAY EVENTS AND WE WILL BE
TRYING TO KEEP THE ENDURO SERIES ALIVE WITH 3 EVENTS.
WE HAVE EXACTLY WHAT EVERYONE LOOKS FOR IN A SCHEDULE:
VARIETY & GOOD SPACING BETWEEN EVENTS.

No chance of a day at NJMP Thunderbolt? I know those motorized bikes take up the track most weekends..

THERE IS A CHANCE - BUT SLIM - THAT WE CAN GET THE SAME WEEKEND
WITH THUNDERBOLT ONE DAY & LIGHTNING THE OTHER.

Spartacus. I believe that some schedules/tracks are still in the discussion stage. There is a meeting scheduled in a few weeks to discuss same.

Any news on the final schedule?

Guys/gals. If the 2013 schedule was supposed to be voted on since January 15th, why the delay in answering the queries of the members concerning the revised? schedule, since one was already posted on November 3rd. Who's running this ship?

Webmaster duties were handed over to Mary Cox (EMRA Secretary), January 2nd. I would inquire with her as to when the site will be updated to reflect the new approved schedule.

Quikgt seems to have a flair for the dramatic but his comments are warranted. There are no responses to the members concerning the schedules, and some of us who work weekends, have to put in for vacation in order to attend the meets. It's time the "tentative" schedules became permanent.

Well, since no one has yelled at me for posting the news that the schedule has been approved I'll go ahead and announce---the schedule for 2013 is as Tom Masciopinto has posted in this thread. I will admit that we did not discuss actually making the announcement at the last board meeting--an oversight. Keep in mind EMRA is a volunteer organization -- those who volunteer for jobs do the best they can -- but we all have real lives to live -- sometimes with limited time or expertise to accomplish all that needs to be done. We are still looking for a person with website experience to post info/overhaul our site. Our Vicechairman has someone in mind but I do not know the results of his inquiry. Please look at the thread regarding positions that need to be filled. I know it can be daunting to make a committment but perhaps some jobs can be shared to cover the season. Be counted--EMRA is our--yours and mine--race organization--it is what we make of it.

I gotta say, thats a great looking schedule.
Its been a while since I attended an EMRA event, but i am going to try to get to a few this year, particularly interested in the new Pocono East-South and the NY Safety Track events.

I'm not sure what class my car runs in with EMRA anymore, seems the classes have changed a bit but I'll figure that out.

Nice job on a good looking schedule.
