NJMP Helmet requirement

Can we clear up the helmet rule for NJMP - those of us waiting for the snell 2015 helmets to come out are still using 2005 and 2010 Snell helmets. Some even open face! (i know the horror of it all - no HANS either) For Time Trial is a Snell helmet required - I know it can be a M2005 or M2010 but what about a DOT rated Full face M helmet? I have full face helmets for my bike (only 2-3 yrs old) but they are not Snell rated just DOT. (most of the Motorcycle helmet manufacturers dumped snell for cost saving a few years ago)

Question is Can I use my DOT full face helmet - or do I have to buy a Snell full face?

I am not seeing any references to air bags in nj state police rules, not sure where this allowance came from.

NJMP most definitely requires full face helmets that are 2005 or newer. I've seen police driving around paddocks checking for this in past events with other organizations.
