Any chance that we'll be making our usual visit to Summit Point in early April?

Re: New Schedule
I was wondering that same thing. I love that weekend. I think the May event might be the first date though. That is about the same weekend as last year at Summit.

Re: New Schedule
Looks like a fun schedule so far. I really had my fingers crossed for the Glen. Anyone know if it might still come through?

If you mean Shenandoah, past attendance has never been strong at that event. There were, I believe, somewhere on the order of nine cars there on the second TT day in 2009. There were more corner workers than cars competing! Sadly, it doesn't look right now as if we will be visiting that track in April 2011.

Re: New Schedule
I believe the attendance was up in 2010 though. I must say I had a good time at my first TT there last year.

I wouldn't exactly call it nice there in November, if your complaint is just the weather.

Re: New Schedule
They ran Summit Main last year not Shennandoah.
I would rather turn Main rather than the other any day

Focus. You mean you'd rather not play, DDD, (dodging d deer ) at Shennandoah? Never liked running there either.

Re: New Schedule
I remember an incident at Shennandoah a few years ago while running wingman, (for a lap anyway), for Lars in his Volvo. As we crested the rise on the straight, there they were, ...2 bucks at 2 o' clock, hell bent on self destruction and making a dash for freedom, straight across the nose of the Volvo, which was as a quiet as a ceiling fan at full speed. The Volvo was gonna be toast, but luckily I had pulled out to pass, and alerted by the sound of open headers at full song, they accelerated into the brush on our left. I guess loud pipes do save lives, ....and Volvos.

Re: New Schedule
I have seen more deer at Main than Shennandoah. Just seems to get more congested at Shennandoah. Too many short passing zones. The front straight is nice but the rest are questionable.

Looks like a great day to volunteer to work for credit as I LOVE That track, even as a spectator.
