If this layout looks interesting to you then it should go on your bucket list of tracks to visit. As of now there is very very little elevation changes (read flat). Hopefully that will change to make it way more exciting.
As far as clearing the land, grading, actual construction of buildings, laying down pavement & curing on 160 acres of land, not to mention the permits required (that has not been completely met yet) not to factor in numerous other roadblocks that you face with construction projects, NOT to mention the WEATHER ( it has been raining all last night & day here & suppose to for the next 2 days (better than snow). When the snow finally does arrive then any work will STOP. Can't really push around soupy mud with great results.
I have been involved with numerous construction projects & also know the company that is doing the site work on this project. I do hope that this comes to fruition soonner than later and EMRA maybe will have another venue to play in. I'm just saying don't get real excited yet anything can happen & with a price tag upwards around 40 mil the investors (most of which are old) will want to see a decent return on their money before they die so who knows what the rent will be.

If "They have barely broken ground and think they will be ready in August", why are you so quick to judge the facility/track? Wouldn't it be appropriate to wait until they're finished BEFORE we condemn another potential EMRA venue?
"But I think I can safely say that this is not the Glen."......What track is?
fastbenz wrote:I will send updates as I see the progress for you guys. As far as Pocono.... Come on the whole track is boring no matter what configuration you run there. You think Pocono is better than Lime Rock? I've run the Rolex 24 at Daytona 14 times which will include this year and the infield is rinky dink also (ask any real driver off the record). So if your not interested in a challange & just like lapping then this maybe this is the track for you.
Believe me I would like to have a little track in my backyard to play with (it's only 25 miles). I'll get some picture so you guys have an idea in real time instead of drawings on their website
Merry Christmas
